LT-3100S Iridium GMDSS is ready!
Iridium opened the GMDSS service December 11th and Polaris Electronics have the first units of Lars Thrane A/S LT3100S in stock (in) this week.
This Iridium GMDSS equipment can be used in GMDSS Sea Area A3 as an alternative to Inmarsat C. LT-3100S is Wheel Mark (MED) and FCC approved for use on board SOLAS convention vessels.
LT-3100S will be more than an alternative to Inmarsat C, offering truly global coverage, built in safety voice and it can, with standard cables, be installed with up to 500 meters between the Transceiver/Antenna Unit and the controller.
Polaris Electronics A/S is ready with equipment and SIM Cards.
