Directive MSC.1/Circ.1460 in relation to SAILOR VHF and MF/HF Radios – ***NOTE: Extended to 1 January 2028***

 IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC 107) was held in London, UK, from 31 May to 9 June 2023.

The Sub-Committee agreed that this circular should be updated to extend the deadline for updating VHF radiocommunication equipment to 1 January 2028. The revised circular will be distributed as MSC.1/Circ.1460/Rev.4.

1. SAILOR SP3510 – SAILOR SP3515 – SAILOR SP3520 – SAILOR SP3530 – SAILOR SP3540 Portable VHF’s
   • SW in Service Tool Full  version 1.01.44 or later including new channel table after 01-01-2017
   • ALT (Alternative) Channel table file including old channel table before 01-01-2017
   • User guidance for the ALT (Alternative) frequency table selection is given in the User Manual chapter 4 – ‘Configuring the radio’.
2. SAILOR 6210 – SAILOR 6215 – SAILOR 6216 – SAILOR 6217 VHF’s
   • SW in Service Tool Pack version 2.0.28 or later including new channel table after 01-01-2017
   • ALT (Alternative) Channel table file including old channel table before 01-01-2017
   • User guidance for the ALT (Alternative) frequency table selection is:

3. SAILOR 6222 – SAILOR 6248 – SAILOR 6249
   • SW version 2.15 or later including new channel table after 01-01-2017

   • SW version 2.11 or later including new channel table after 01-01-2017
   • Due to limitations of the SAILOR 5020/22 VHFs two digit seven segment display, the designators for the high and low portions of channel 19, in wide band mode, are shown in the idle display in top vertical line as: “Ch Info: 1019” or “Ch Info: 2019”  
5. SAILOR 7222
   • All SW versions is including new channel table after 01-01-2017
